I was born and raised in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, just on the other side of Centennial Park from Gumnut Gardens. Growing up, the park was an integral part of my childhood playing host to countless picnics, birthday parties and even the occasional soccer game despite my overall lack of sporting prowess. One of the things I love about Gumnut Gardens is its links to the natural environment, specifically Centennial Park as it was such an important part of my childhood.
I joined the Gumnut Gardens team in late 2017 as an administrative assistant to the director. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Education (Secondary) at the University of New South Wales majoring in Modern History and English. I work nearby at my alma mater Waverley College as a debating coach as well as tutoring a number of high school age students in the eastern suburbs. Whilst my passion is secondary education, I enjoy working with all young people. I love the diversity of my role at Gumnut Gardens and the wonderful interactions I enjoy daily with children, parents and staff at the centre.
